I’m excited to announce the first Group Sugar Flower Classes for 2024! Come and learn from me first hand in my South East London studio in an intimate group workshop. Over the past few months I have been busy developing a series of 4 new flowers designed to be time efficient and therefore budget friendly for your cakes.
What flowers will you be teaching?
The four new sugar flowers that I will be teaching are:
Quick reflexed rose – this is a smaller and quicker version than my signature reflexed rose but it still retains all of the beauty! It’s the perfect medium sized rose to add to any cake and will definitely steal the limelight.
English garden rose – again this is a simplified and smaller variety. Fewer petals mean it is quicker to make and the smaller size means that it works well in any arrangement.
Dahlia “Waltzing Mathilda” – one of my new favourite dahlia varieties. I love the richness of colour and the curling petal shapes. It will provide a bold statement wherever it is placed.
Butterfly ranunculus – I adore the really ruffled varieties with wavy curling petals with hints of pink.
Trailing jasmine foliage – one of my favourite foliages. It’s trailing tendrils create a wild and loose flow to your sugar flower arrangements.

When is the class?
The first group workshop will take place on Tuesday 12th – Wednesday 13th March 2024. It will take place over the 2 days allowing us plenty of time to cover all of the flowers in depth. A 2 day class is also advantageous to allow drying time for the petals and plenty of time for dusting and assembly. Each day the class will start promptly at 9:45am and will finish between 4pm and 5pm.
NEW DATES ADDED! Get in touch to book 11th-12th May 2024 or 8th-9th June 2024.
What’s included in the class?
All tools and materials needed to make your flowers over the 2 days will be provided. You don’t need to bring anything with you and there is no need to take notes! After the workshop, you will receive access to an online class with step-by-step videos for each of the flowers to enable you to practice at home. Each class also has its own cheat sheets with links to the tools required and written instructions to serve as a memory prompt.
A light lunch and refreshments will also be provided. Please advise of any dietary requirements or allergies when booking your place.

How many places are available?
My group workshops are taught with a maximum group size of 4 students. This enables me to give each student plenty of 1-1 help, feedback and the opportunity to ask questions.
Who is this class suitable for?
The class is suitable for all levels, although a basic knowledge of sugar flowers is preferable.
How much is the class and how do I book?
The group workshop is priced at £275 for the 2 days. Places are bookable by contacting The Botanical Cake Studio directly. Get in touch to book your place here!
